BMA is an independent door, door hardware and security systems consultant firm.  We prepare project documents based on a MasterSpec software authorized by our client and a brand specific specification is developed with additional approved manufacturers.  It is the intent of BMA to meet the architect/owner’s requirements of brand preference and a competitively bid project.

The Process

• Hardware Sets: Developed in specific brand nomenclature
• Transmittal:  The complete specification is emailed as a Word® or PDF document.
• Catalog Cuts:  A PDF file of cut sheets is prepared and sent via email or uploaded to a website for the    architect/owner’s use.
• Editing:  BMA keeps a history of any changes made to a specification by our team.  We utilize Microsoft Word® (Track Changes) or Bluebeam PDF Revu (A PDF based software) to highlight specification revisions as we continue to manage a project.
• Field Trips: In addition to the above, BMA is also available for field trips in order to coordinate door hardware and security.
• Punch List:  BMA can also performs a project punch list and prepares an Excel® list of deficiencies for review of the architect/owner.
